Spa Pump Frequently Asked Questions
What Is The Correct Size Spa Pump For My Spa
The selection of pump size for spas is crucial not just for adequate suctions but also for the number of water jets. Pump flow rate must match the jet count to maintain correct pressure. Most jets operate optimally at 10-12psi, around 40lpm per jet. For instance, a spa with 4-6 jets requires a pump with a flow rate of approximately 200lpm, typically fitting 1.0hp pumps.
How Long Does A Spa Pump Last?
Similar to a Pool Pump, a Spa Pump can last up to 10 years with the correct care and maintenance.
Is A Spa Pump The Same As A Pool Pump
Most Pool Pumps are not suitable for Spas due to their overall size. We remove the Lint Pot from our pumps to give it a smaller form factor. Our EAQuip 1HP Spa Pump is popular amongst Pool and Spa builders.
